CHANEL SOLEIL TAN DE CHANEL BRONZING MAKEUP BASE REVIEW AND SWATCH

Would you lookey at what I got for Christmas!

I was a very lucky lady this Christmas, as Santa (Sister & Cousin) brought me my very own Soleil Tan De Chanel aka Chanel Bronze Universal!

I’ve read so many positive reviews on this product that I have been dying to try it out. Normally I follow the usual, blogger etiquette to stop and take photos before swatching new products, however I was so excited to rip it out the box I completely forgot… hence the photos of an already used (but still equally beautiful) Bronzer.

So the Soleil Tan De Chanel is an all over bronzing base and the product has a sort of mousey/ creamy texture. This is a great multi-purpose product that you can opt to use under or over your foundation. I like to apply mine after my foundation to the usual places such the temples, cheeks, along the jawline and chin area. You can pretty much use any brush to apply depending on what your aim is, I’ve found my real techniques buffing brush to be the best for blending to get an even and natural finish.

It is very pigmented and picks up really easily on a brush, so to avoid wasting the product I tend to stipple my brush on the surface rather than swirl. I find that this helps to minimise excess product collecting on the bristles and prevents any unwanted Clown like faces.

The best thing about this product is how it can help enhance your natural features plus play down a few flaws. I love buffing the bronzer along my cheekbones to give an instant lifting effect and applying it along my jawbone and chin area to create the illusion of a ‘V” line shaped face.  It works great at minimising my strangely large forehead too, just a sweep across my temples up to the hairline simply does wonders!

The product comes in one universal shade only, and applies to a matte bronze finish. This bronzer is very easy to blend and you are never left with a harsh or unnatural line. I was worried about it being quite tricky to apply at first but I think less is definitely more with this product – start small and gently build up.

At £31 a pot this is definitely a luxury treat. However you do get what you pay for in terms of packaging, presentation and quality. I’m sure that I will be savouring every last ounce of this product till I run out, but when I do it’s safe to say that I wouldn’t hesitate to part cash to repurchase again.

Intrigued? You can get yours at any Chanel Counter either Boots or Debenhams for £31. (I’d go for Boots just for the advantage card points :D)

Have you tried this yet? Let me know if you are a fan or not!

Thanks for reading and HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS!
